Meet Dr. Aprajita Singh

Dr. Aprajita Singh DMD, MPH graduated from Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2012. She came to the Iowa City area nearly 10 years ago to join her husband who works as an Oncologist at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  After graduating from Dental School Dr. Singh pursued a General Practice Residency (GPR) at OSF Medical Center, Peoria, IL. During her GPR she strengthened her surgical and restorative skills and gained some early experience in endodontics. She practiced General Dentistry for 8 years in Cedar Rapids. She then joined the University of Iowa College of Dentistry faculty as an Assistant Professor. It’s during these years of dentistry in private practice and academic settings that she realized how much she loved endodontic procedures. After serving as clinical faculty for 2 years Dr. Singh joined the University of Iowa’s respected Endodontic Residency Program. She completed the program in June 2023.

Dr. Singh also has a unique interest in Oral Public Health and Preventive Dentistry. Before starting dental school Dr. Singh completed a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) and did an internship that involved school oral health projects. She also worked as a research assistant on a project intended to identify ways to promote health screening among uninsured and underserved populations. Her education and training in a public health setting allows her to focus on comprehensive health and prevention.

Dr. Singh believes in minimally invasive endodontics and is certified in the GentleWave procedure. She has also been part of a research project with GentleWave during her endodontic residency. She is passionate about endodontics and enthusiastic about continued advances in the field of endodontics.

Beyond her professional activities, Dr. Singh enjoys running and fitness workouts. She loves traveling with her husband and two young daughters.

Dr. Singh brings diverse training and extensive experience to the practice.
